Smart Jealous Lonely
A wraith trapped in an abandonned mall meets various people who break in, all with reasons of their own - sometimes, they don't come out.
Rebecca worked as a barista in a small shop near the University she was a student at. When not working, she was studying and leading a rather secluded life. Meeting people most days is fun until she meets who she believes to be her saving grace: a rich man who has taken a liking to her. He is good, kind -- until he is not.

Rebecca Philips was not his only victim, nor would she be the last, but she would be the one that lasted longest in his basement. Abused, broken, tortured, she passed away a few months after her disappearance. To conceal evidence, he would make pieces of her body and scatter them across the lot of an abandoned land upon which an old, closed mall still stands.

But not everything stays dead: sometimes, the horrors one lived with a heartbeat catch up to you when your heart stops. Rebecca awoke in Whitefield Heights disoriented, scared, and with no memory of how or why she got here, only that leaving the mall was extremely difficult. Above all, she woke so, so up hungry....

Though she learned of her death eventually, the mystery behind it remains unsolved. Sometimes she will travel when Whitefield Heights allows her. Sometimes she feasts on her travels. At least, until Whitefield Heights calls back to her... and then she must return and start over again.

Analytical Courageous Quick Witted Kind
An Indian girl kidnapped and sent to a mental hospital in America, Kumari is also Azazel's vessel.
Billions of years in the past, a Universe collapsed, and a handful of its survivors found refuge in ours. Their Universe was not annihilated at random: these inter dimensional beings were playfully destructive and sought to amuse themselves in our Universe next. They ate planets, suns, broke galaxies apart with a breath and bathed inside the singularity of black holes. Upon finding Earth, they realized human civilization was rather naive and amusing. For millennia these creatures masqueraded as Gods and angels, shaping and destroying religions and, incidentally, entire civilizations in the process, only to watch the next rise and repeat the process. One of these creature would become known as Azazel.

Humans, however, weren’t as stupid as expected: the creatures were cornered and their essence forced into human bodies. Feeling human emotion for the first time, Azazel was rendered mad and died quickly… then was reborn a generation later as a human. The curse was successful: Azazel’s ether would rise quickly at first, and her body would die, and she would be reborn again and again until she became weary of those lives filled with misery and pain. Azazel, once the cruelest of them, became tame. Some generations, she would not awaken at all. But there is someone looking for her, another being like her who suffered the same fate, who has awakened every generation, who has wanted revenge upon humankind ever since… He needs her to fulfill vengeance, his connection to her akin to a destined lover. This is her story: Kumari’s story, with a interdimensional god coiled around her heart, born and reborn to new horrors every time, destined to suffer tragedy after tragedy between then, now, and in the future. It never ends. It never will.

Kumari begins her journey in India as a literature student when she is kidnapped and sent to America, only to be automatically sent to Whitlock Mental Hospital as a patient. There she met Billy Green, an orderly she takes a liking to and with whom she thought she'd found a kindred soul -- she had, in a sense, as he would be the other half of Azazel. Unlike Kumari, Green is more attuned to the creature inside him (Abaddon) and seeks to enact his anger and alternatively, Abaddon's revenge on the world. But without Kumari, he doesn't hold as much power -- Upon his betrayal, Kumari ran, doing all in her power to keep him at bay.

Revenge became Abaddon’s fuel, wanting for the destruction of humanity, that which had enslaved him into a weak, fragile human body. But he cannot do it alone. Connected to another, Azazel, he seeks her out every lifetime, needing her to heighten his powers. This day, it is no different. This is his story: Billy’s story, with an interdimensional god coiled around his heart, born and reborn to new horrors every time, destined to suffer tragedy after tragedy between then, now, and in the future. On the outside, Billy Green works at Whitlock Mental Hospital as one of the orderlies of the facility. There he meets Kumari Patel; finding his other half, Abaddon cries for Azazel, and soon Billy falls into it, seeing Kumari as his soulmate. Once she realized the destruction he sought, however, she left and is keeping him at bay, only fueling his anger further.
